Kim is the best for letting me practice my photography with her and I choose her, because she's uber hip and beautiful. I wanted to test the lighting at our church with my flash and this is what I got. I think in black in white this will do well for my upcoming shoot. Although, this is not black and white, I really like how these turned out. Also, I forgot to wear my glasses, so the one shot is out of focus, but I'm loving it still.
These are sample of the 150 pictures from my BFA project. I went to Japan and photographed street life and used film exclusively. All through college I used film only anyway, but this was by far one of my favorite projects. Being half Japanese I felt like I was getting in touch of my other half. So the format of the show was 150 photos 5"x5" on a thin black shelf that wrapped around these "c" shaped walls. It was very linear. I felt like revisiting my photo past, so here you go!
These pics are outdated, since I went to the Apple Holler last September, but never blogged about it. I love these pictures, because every year I go with the same group of friends who happen to be some of my favorite people in Chicago. I know the last shot of my son and his best friend is out of focus, but I just love their expressions and they really are the best of buddies!
Jennifer is a Stella and Dot stylist that I met at a trunk show and of course, I left buying some amazing jewelry. She claims, like everyone, that she doesn't take good pictures, but as you can see she is absolutely gorgeous!
I swung by the Art Institute again for family portraits and I think they turned out great. Just look at the adorable Max. The camera loves him!! And if you haven't noticed Max has a deep love for trains. He was even Sir Topham Hat for Halloween!
